Before you start reading, we would like to reassure you that this is not a post about rescheduling Let It Roll.
We want to thank you very much for all the support you give us. We especially thank all of you who keep tickets for events that have been rescheduled or support the festival by purchasing merchandise. We couldn’t do it without your help. Not only are you helping us to survive the situation financially, but you are also giving us the energy not to give up and to fight. It is a huge commitment for us to bring you the best Let It Roll you have ever experienced as soon as possible.
We want to comment on our plans for Let It Roll 2021 and how we see the current situation.
Last autumn, we said to ourselves that we wouldn’t make any big decisions until April 2021. We expected the first months of this year not to be very positive, and we did not want to make hasty decisions. Our primary goal is to organize the festival as we all know and love it. We believe that it is necessary to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we want to do everything we can to meet together in August and enjoy the festival. To forget all the sadness and worry that the last year has brought us, at least for a few days.
As always, and in the current situation more than ever, the absolute priority for us is the safety of visitors and all those who take part in the festival so Let It Roll will only take place if we can organize it safely.
Although the current situation doesn’t look very positive, we believe it may turn significantly better before the summer. Vaccination, post-disease immunity or green passports can significantly reduce the spread of a pandemic and, above all, protect those groups for whom the disease can have fatal consequences. The vaccination plans of European countries promise to protect groups of the population who make up more than 98% of all diseases with fatal consequences by the summer.
At Beatworx, we don’t wait with folded arms. We continue preparing the festival so it can take place if the anti-epidemiological measures allow it. Meanwhile, we are also preparing for possible measures that may land on us as organizers. Moreover, we are ready to enable testing by antigen tests at the entrance to the festival for those who won’t be able to get vaccinated or will not have natural immunity.
Whether the Let It Roll 2021 festival will be able to take place is not and cannot be in our hands, despite all efforts. Its fate depends on the development of the epidemiological situation and especially the decision of the Ministry of Health. Unfortunately, this has not yet accepted an opinion for a horizon longer than a few weeks.
We will decide on holding the festival for 2021 by mid-May at the latest. However, in the current situation, we are still ready and able to organize the festival.
